SmartCore works with both Bluegiga Bluetooth modules and Bluegiga Access Point for Bluetooth Marketing.

Key features:
Bluegiga Access Points are robust, industrial temperature range devices (-40 a +85°C). They are Bluetooth Class 1 with up to 3Mbps speed.
Being Class 1 devices they offer up to 100-200m range if the device they will connect with are also Class 1. Note that when used for mobile marketing they will connect to mobile phones which usually has Class 2 Bluetooth interfaces, so the expected range will be 10-15m.
Bluegiga offers devices that can support 7, 14 or 21 simultaneous connections. The actual best seller device is the 3201 model. Tiny it can fit in your hand and be easily hidden in different places. 3201 supports up to 7 simultaneous connections.
Thru a web interface you can upload the files you want to use on the marketing campaign (image, video, business card, text).
The device automatically create Black Lists based on configurable timers, so you will not be considered a Bluetooth spammer.
Using the web interface you will be able to change the campaign script file which uses simple commands as “Send File”. You can, for example, add time filters, so there can be a campaign focused on lunch and other for dinner time.
Device management:
There are two options:
· Offline: you store the campaign on the device and them you just need to plug it on the power; · Online: using the Ethernet or the USB power you can connect it to the Internet using ADSL, cable modem or GPRS/EDGE/3G mdoem, allowing you to update the campaigns and get statistics remotely.
Even when working in offline mode the update is easy. You may create the new camping in your office, save it on a pen drive using the Bluegiga file format and any courier can go to the sites, plug the pen drive on the access point and the unit will automatically be update. It is easy, all procedure is done in few minutes and there is no need for a laptop.
Reports:
The device log all the events showing success and fail ratio, mobile phone IDs, signal strength and others. The report can be exported to Excel so you can create easy-reading and graphic reports.
Another option is to buy softwares that are already prepared to work with the device to provide graphic reports.
Power supply:
The devices are 12Vdc and goes with 110/220Vac -> 12Vdc power supplies. Alternatively you can plug a battery to the 12Vdc input and use it as a real mobile device, putting it on a back pack and walking with it on a beach, for example.
